OTHER SCHOLARSHIPS BY DEADLINE MONTH:
Arkansas Governor's Distinguished Scholarship- click here for overview This is the most academically rigorous scholarship program offered for those graduating seniors scoring either 32 on the ACT or 1410 on the SAT, and a 3.50 academic grade point average. Those who are named National Merit Finalists or National Achievement Scholars may qualify without meeting the GPA requirement, but must still meet the ACT/SAT requirement. The scholarship pays tuition, mandatory fees, room and board up to $10,000 per year. Deadline is February 01, 2018 ADHE YOUniversal scholarship application
Daughters of the American Revolution- All applicants must be citizens of the United States and must attend or plan to attend an accredited college or university in the United States. DAR chapter sponsorship is not required; however, a chapter or state chairman may work with the applicant to put the information together to send to the DAR Scholarship Committee. The American Legion Department of Arkansas offers eight (8) scholarships. Four Coudret Trust Foundation scholarships of $1,000 each and four Garner Trust Foundation scholarships of $2,500 each. Both scholarships are one-time awards and are not renewable.The criteria for each differ and will be available only to eligible students. Students may apply for either or both, however only one scholarship will be awarded per applicant. Qualifications, criteria, and application here. Deadline March 12, 2018
NEW- Phi Alpha Omega Chapter Memorial Academic Scholarships- African American seniors enrolled in a high school located in Benton, Washington and Sebastian counties, (1) graduating with a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA; Applications may be retrieved from http://akapao.com/scholarships/. AAA / Centennial Bank Scholarship Ten $1,000 scholarships; 5 Boys scholarships, 5 Girls scholarships. Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and ACT of 21 or higher. Must be senior AAA registered student-athlete, must meet NCAA Scholarship rules, display good citizenship in school and community, display desirable leadership traits and participate in other school activities. Must be endorsed by school principal. Deadline March 28, 2018 Apply here.
NEW- ARKTESOL Scholarship- Current or Former ESOL students may apply for a $1000 Student Scholarship. The scholarship is potentially renewable for four years for a total amount of $4000. Applicants must be committed to pursue education beyond high school. There is no GPA requirement but financial need is considered. Application HERE. Deadline- Must be postmarked no later than March 31, 2018
AAA / State Farm Scholar-Athlete Ten senior student-athletes will earn a $1,000 college scholarship
NEW- NWA BYU Management Society- open to high school graduates of Benton and Washington Counties- amount varies. Specific instructions regarding essays and letters of recommendation. Application HERE Deadline March 9, 2018
Mandy Coats Memorial Scholarship Guidelines This application must be returned by email (firstname.lastname@example.org) NO EARLIER THAN JANUARY 1 AND NO LATER THAN APRIL 1 of the year in which the scholarship is being sought. Apply here Deadline April 1, 2018
NWA AAPI Scholarship- *scholarship is open to all students regardless of heritage or ethnicity.Need-based scholarship in the amount of $1,000. Applicant must be: a senior with a 3.5 or higher GPA. Must write a paragraph on 500 words or less describing his or her community service and leadership skills. Must include (up to 3) letters of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, or school official documenting community service and leadership skills. Must include an official transcript and proof of annual income. (Sponsored by the NWA American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin, but scholarship is open to all student regardless of heritage.) Click here for application Deadline April 1, 2018
NEW- HWOA Scholarships- amounts vary. HWOA's scholarships are for graduating high school seniors and college students: traditional and non-traditional students attending or planning to attend an accredited institution of higher education or technical school. Requirements taken into consideration in the selection of the recipient include: Hispanic Origin, academic record, leadership activities and /or family responsibilities, community service, financial need, seriousness of regard to education. NEW- Ozarks Electric Cooperative Scholarship- One $1000 scholarship awarded to one eligible senior in each area high school. The parent or guardian must be members of Ozarks Electric Cooperative. Application HERE. Application deadline- due to Ozarks Elect by 5 pm on April 15, 2018
NEW- Ozarks Electric Cooperative High Voltage Lineman Scholarship: Ozarks Electric will be awarding a scholarship to a graduating high school senior to attend Arkansas State University at Newport, Arkansas for High Voltage Lineman certification during the 2018-2019 academic year. The value of the scholarship is $7,870 and would involve training for one calendar year to become certified as a high voltage lineman. Application HERE Deadline April 15, 2018

NEW- C.B Garrison Scholarship a $1,000 scholarship to a son or daughter of an AAEA member who will graduating high school this year. Selection is based on academic excellence, leadership in school activities, work experiences and community service. Academic Challenge Scholarship - The Academic Challenge Program provides scholarships to Arkansas residents pursuing a higher education. Funded in large part by the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery, the Academic Challenge Scholarship is available to students regardless of their academic status, whether just graduating from high school, currently enrolled in college, enrolling in college for the first time, or re-enrolling after a period of time out of college. Starting with the class of 2016, the only requirement is a 19 on the ACT or ACT equivalent score, FAFSA Required. Deadline June 15, 2018 Application link
NEW- Cherokee Nation College Resource Center's College Scholarship Program- Undergraduate application opens Feb 1 and the deadline is June 15, 2018
