The Springdale Public Schools Education Foundation is deeply committed to providing Springdale Graduates with financial assistance to further their educational experiences beyond high school. - Bayyari Elementary-Rosie Howard Scholarship- $500 Must have attended Bayyari Elementary at least one year.
- Central Junior High International Heritage- $500- Must have attended CJH for two years, have a 3.0 GPA, and be of Laotian, Marshallese, Latino, or Latino/American descent.
- Jack & Glenna Hellstern Scholarship--$1000 scholarship- may be renewable.
- Harold E. Henson Sr. Scholarship--$1500 renewable scholarship
- Debbie Hoffarth/Harps Scholarship--$1000 scholarship; must have 2.75 gpa
- Elmer & Dot Johnson Scholarship--$1000 scholarship renewable; must be attending a post-secondary school in AR
- Coach Kevin Johnson Memorial Scholarship--$1000 scholarship; must have participated in football, basketball or track or cross-country
- Harvey & Bernice Jones Scholarship--$1000 renewable scholarship; must have 3.0 gpa & ACT composite score of 24 or better; plan to attend post-secondary school in AR
- Geneva Powers Memorial Scholarship - $1000 scholarship- Must pursue a music education degree; must have 2.75 gpa
- Hartzell Jones Scholarship of Promise & Potential--$1000 scholarship; minimum gpa 2.75
- Springdale Schools Alumni Association Scholarship--$1500 scholarship; must be son, daughter or grandchild of an alumnus
- Springdale Rotary Workforce Readiness Scholarship- $1000 scholarship; must pursue a vocational degree or certificate at a two-year college or vocational school.
- Don Tyson Endowed Scholarship for Agriculture, Food & Life Sciences--$1000 scholarship; must enroll in the Dale Bumpers College of Agriculture, Food, and Life Sciences at the University of Arkansas; minimum 3.0 gpa
- Jeff Whorton Memorial Scholarship- $1000. Must be on the Golf Team at a high school in Springdale District.
- Walter Turnbow Workforce Readiness Scholarship--$1500 scholarship; must pursue a vocational degree or certificate at a two-year college or vocational school.
- Willard Walker Rotary Scholarship--$2000 renewable scholarship; must have 3.0 gpa & ACT composite score of 24 or better; plan to attend post-secondary school in AR

Read & Follow these steps:
1. Download and Save the application and type in all your information.
2. Click on the title of each scholarship below to DOUBLE CHECK the specific guidelines for each.
3. PRINT a copy of the application for each scholarship for which you are applying. (for example, if you want to submit to four scholarships, print four copies, AND PRINT THIS PAGE four times- THE LOCAL SCHOLARSHIP list. Attach this page to the front of each of your applications with the specific scholarship marked.
4. Make sure to include a cover letter for each application. (1-2 paragraphs introducing yourself, your future goals, highlights of some of your experiences or skills, etc.)
*Chromebook users: in order to save your completed application, hit the print button and change settings to "save as PDF". You may need to email it to someone who can print it for you.
5. SUBMIT applications and ALL requested attachments to the Har-Ber Counseling Center by April 1.
PLEASE NOTE- Local scholarships do NOT require a "sealed official" transcript and test scores. Plan ahead & request a copy of your transcript & test scores in the counseling center. Make as many copies as you need.
You can print your transcript from HAC and print out ACT scores from your account.
Robert Boatright/SSNA (Springdale Schools Nutrition Assoc.) Scholarship--$250 or $500 scholarship, depending on available funds, to help a deserving student continue their education. Qualified applicants must be graduating seniors at a high school in Springdale and plan on enrolling at a university / college / or vocational school. Criteria may include academic performance, financial need, unusual circumstances, volunteering, work experience, or extracurricular activities.
Central Junior High PTO Scholarship- $500 1. Use the district common application and 2. attach a typed essay of approximately 500 words answering the following question. DO NOT PUT YOUR NAME ON THE PAGE. *Pick a life experience and explain how it has influenced you. 3. Student is required to submit a completed teacher recommendation and acquaintance recommendation in sealed envelope (forms attached).
Carroll Electric Cooperative Corporation Scholarship--$500 scholarship. Selection based on financial need, scholastic rank and participation in extra-curricular activities. Preference will be given to those whose parents or legal guardians receive service from Carroll Electric. Write "Carroll Electric Member" at the top of your application if your family's electricity service is through Carroll Electric.
Elmdale Elementary Scholarship-$500 scholarship- Applicants must include a current transcript and an essay on: Why do you think you deserve this scholarship?" The criteria may include demonstrated leadership, community involvement, and character. Applicants may be interviewed. Applicants must be on track for graduation from HBHS and enrollment in a 4-year or 2-year college.
George Elementary School Spencer Colvin Memorial Scholarship- $500 scholarship. Must have attended George Elementary. Must attach required two- short answer questions: 1. Why do you deserve this scholarship? 2. Is there a teacher or staff member at George who had a positive impact on you? If so, who and how did they?
Har-Ber High School PTSO Scholarship-$500- awarded to a Har-Ber graduate to be used for post-secondary education at a 2 or 4 year college or vocational school. ESSAY: Attach to your application a typewritten essay of approximately 500 words answering one of the following questions.

Harp Elementary School Linda Childers Knapp Scholarship--$1000--Must graduate from SHS or HBHS and plan to pursue a college or vocational school. Must have attended Harp Elementary their entire 5th grade year. Attach an essay: In a typed paragraph, pick an experience from your life and briefly explain how it has influenced your development.
Helen Tyson Middle School College & Career Readiness Club Scholarship-$250 scholarship. For a former HTMS CCRC student enrolling at a university, community college or vocational school. Criteria may include academic performance, financial need, unusual circumstances, volunteering, work, or extracurricular activities.
Helen Tyson Middle School Graduate Scholarship- $250 scholarship. Must be a graduate of Helen Tyson Middle School. Attach essay of 500 words describing how time at HTMS and / or a teacher at HTMS impacted your academic career and choice to further your education.
Hellstern Middle School Graduate Scholarship--$500 scholarship awarded to support a graduate of SHS or HBHS to pursue a degree at a university or vocational school. Must be a graduate of Hellstern Middle School. Attach Essay of at least 500 words describing how time at HMS and / or a teacher at HMS impacted your academic career and choice to further your education.
JB Hunt Elementary School Scholarship--$1000 scholarship. Requirements: Must have attended JB Hunt Elementary School, have a minimum 3.0 GPA & plan to enroll in post-secondary education. The application must be complete with two teacher recommendations, one of them a teacher at Hunt (see the Scholarship Rater form attached), and your personal essay.
Jones Elementary Scholarship- $500 provides financial support to a student who attended Jones Elementary for at least one year and who is a graduate of an accredited High School in Springdale.
Lee Elementary Peggy Hill Memorial Scholarship--$250 scholarship. Awarded to a former Lee Elementary student. Must have attended Lee at least two years.
Caryn Hobson Pierce Memorial Scholarship- $1000. (2) scholarships awarded. Must have had Mrs. Pierce for a teacher for at least one year. Share with the family a memory you have of Mrs. Pierce if you would like to add a paragraph to the letter in your application.
Shaw Elementary Patti Brigman Memorial Scholarship- $1000. Must be an alumni of Shaw Elementary and HBHS grad enrolling in an Arkansas college. Attach a 500 word essay on how you have been, are, and will continue to be "A Shining Star" in our world.
T.G. Smith PTA Alumni Scholarship--$1000 scholarship. Must have attended T.G. Smith for a minimum of 4 years. Must enroll at a university, college, or vocational school. Selection criteria may include academic performance, financial need, unusual circumstances, volunteer work, or extracurricular activities.
Southwest Junior High National Jr. Honor Society Scholarship--$500 scholarship to be used on text books. Student must be a former member of Southwest Junior High National Jr. Honor Society and an active member of National Honor Society.
Springdale Benevolent Foundation Scholarship- $1000 year / renewable. Must pursue a degree in Agriculture,
Springdale City Council PTA Scholarship- (2) $500 awards. Graduating from SHS or HBHS pursuing a post-secondary education at 2-4 year college or vocational school. Attach an essay of 500 words: Pick a life experience and explain how it has influenced you. (Do not put your name on this page.) Two other forms required (forms attached) : teacher recommendation and acquaintance recommendation.
Springdale Education Association Scholarship--$350 scholarship. Must be pursuing post-secondary education in Education or Education related field at a university or vocational school in Arkansas.
John Tyson Elementary "Tyson Tiger" Scholarship--$250 scholarship. Awarded to a former John Tyson Elementary student to further their education at a university or vocational school. Attach a cover letter including information regarding the number of years you attended John Tyson.
Walker Elementary - Fratzke/Mabry Scholarship-- Either (1) $1000 scholarship or a $500 scholarship to each of 2 students. Must have attended Walker Elementary. Attach a short essay with information about your years attending Walker and information regarding your parent's involvement.
Whitlock Ortho Dental Scholarship- $500 scholarship-Must be pursuing post secondary education in the Dental field, specifically as a Dentist, Orthodontist, or Dental Hygienist. Must enroll full time in a university or college; no vocational programs.
Bernice Young Elementary Scholarship--$500 scholarship. Must have attended Bernice Young Elementary. Attach an essay about the importance of early learning in elementary school. The essay could include a special memory or learning experience that occurred while a student at Bernice Young Elementary School.

Carroll Electric Youth Tour Scholarship- Trip to Washington DC plus $2000 scholarship for full-time enrollment in college or vocational/technical school. Deadline March 1, 2019
NWA BYU Management Society- Amounts vary $250-$2000. All applicants must be from school districts within Benton or Washington counties in Arkansas; scholarship recipients can attend any U.S. college or university of their choice. Deadline March 8, 2019
Phi Alpha Omega Scholarship $500-$2000 depending on funds available. Must be graduating African American seniors enrolled in a high school in Benton, Washington, or Sebastian counties. Must have a cumulative minimum 2.5 GPA. APPLICATION HERE Deadline March 17, 2019
Washington County Farm Bureau Scholarship- $1000- must be a child, step-child or grandchild or step-grandchild of a Washington Co. Farm Bureau member. Must be a high school graduate planning full-time enrollment at an accredited 2 or 4 university or technical school. Deadline March 15, 2019 to be received in the Farm Bureau Office at 1165 N Meadowlands, Fayetteville, AR 72704.
NWA AAPI Scholarship- *scholarship is open to all students regardless of heritage or ethnicity.Need-based scholarship in the amount of $1,000. Applicant must be: a senior with a 3.5 or higher GPA. Must write a paragraph on 500 words or less describing his or her community service and leadership skills. Must include (up to 3) letters of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, or school official documenting community service and leadership skills. Must include an official transcript and proof of annual income. (Sponsored by the NWA American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin, but scholarship is open to all student regardless of heritage.) Springdale Kiwanis Scholarship- amount varies. Must be a high school graduate of Springdale School District. Factors include Financial need, academic performance (GPA and ACT), and involvement in school and community, with emphasis on Kiwanis Key Club. Eligibility standards include Achievement, Motivation, Educational Objective, Financial Need, and Community Involvement. Attach a separate page discussing your educational goals and objectives. Submit two letters of recommendation from teachers. Deadline April 1, 2019 to the HBHS Counseling Center.

NWA DST Scholarships- $500 for Book Scholarship (M of F) or $1000 for Nola Holt Royster Living Legacy Scholarship (Females only) - for African American Seniors, these scholarships are due April 5, 2019
Ozarks Electric Cooperative Scholarship- One $1000 scholarship awarded to one eligible senior in each area high school. The parent or guardian must be members of Ozarks Electric Cooperative. Application HERE. Application deadline- due to Ozarks Elect by 5 pm on April 15, 2019
NWTI Northwest Technical Institute LEAP Tuition Waiver Scholarship- helps deserving Hispanic students to attend an NWTI program of their choice. Deadline May 5, 2019
RMI- Marshall Islands Scholarship, Grant, and Loan Board- Amount varies. (Link to paper application). Deadline June 30, 2019
Gates Industrial Corporation- Student must have applied for scholarship funds and be applying for financial aid to a 2 or 4 year college or technical school. Preference given to child of a Gates employee. Return form to your counselor for signature.
RMI Scholarship- Marshall Islands Scholarship, Grant, and Loan Board- Amount varies. (Link to online application). Deadline June 30, 2019
